The Institute for Information Industry (III) was established in 1979 as a non-governmental organization, jointly sponsored by the Taiwan government and prominent private enterprises, for the purpose of strengthening the developments of information industry in Taiwan.
III's unique success is due to a well-orchestrated collaboration between the government and private sectors, which has drawn attention worldwide (e.g. WEF information technology report 2005 - 2006). Today, through more and more international collaborative projects, III has been aiding many other countries across the globe, by bringing in the benefits of III's engineering expertise and management skills, to develop their own ICT industries and to build their own information infrastructures for economic competitiveness and social development.
Yoko Technology Corp. co-work with Institute for Information Industry from July 2010 and built a demo site in the office, provide 4 channel H.264 video server and 1 Megapixel IP camera, bundle YOKO SecuCON Lite (32 channels management software) to record and manage the whole video channels.
As economies around the world continue to become more interweaving, a global outlook has become critical to the ICT industry. While III has long recognized the value of international collaboration for enhancing Taiwan's technological capabilities and opening worldwide markets, it has intensified its efforts in this area in recent years. There, III has striven to encourage joint development projects between world-leading ICT companies and domestic vendors, and has assisted in the establishment of local R&D centers. III is also working to ensure that Taiwan's ICT industry has a voice in the setting of global standards and other important work, as well as to raise Taiwan's visibility in the international community and promote YOKO IP surveillance products.
